2nd pass: 11:00 a.m. – Aimed at 3rd and 5th Primary, 1st and 2nd ESO

3rd pass: 4:00 p.m. – Aimed at 6th Primary and families of 4th Primary

April 29 is International Dance Day. With this celebration, the aim is to promote the participation and attention of the public on the importance of the art and culture of dance.

To celebrate it, this year the students of 4th Primary Education have prepared a didactic performance, with the intention of getting closer to the language of contemporary dance and thus trying to understand it a little better. We will see the origin of this type of dance, we will get to know some of the most representative figures, revealing their innovative and revolutionary contributions to the world of dance. We will understand how little by little the way of understanding the body and movement changed and evolved. Isadora Duncan, Martha Graham, Jose Limón, Merce Cunningham or Thrisa Brown were essential figures laying the foundations for new styles and ways of understanding movement and the scene. Their respective techniques continue to be fundamental in the training of dancers today.

In addition, we have the participation of Christine Cloux, dancer, choreographer and regular collaborator of Gençana, who will dance and share the performance with our 4th grade students.
