THE COLOUR OF THE LEAVES

The Botanical Garden of the University of Valencia was founded in 1567. For more than 200 years it was a garden of medicinal plants, linked to Medicine studies. Until s. XIX, he held various positions in the city of Valencia. It was in 1802 when the University moved permanently to Orchard Tramoieres, outside the city walls.Throughout the century XIX they teach botany and testing acclimatization of plants of agricultural interests. During the s. XX, the Botanical suffered a long period of abandonment until, in 1987, the University began a comprehensive restoration project that concluded in 2000.Currently Garden dedicated his research to the knowledge of plant diversity, conservation of rare, threatened or endemic flora of the Mediterranean and the conservation of natural habitats. It also has an incessant cultural and educational activities carried out by offices and educational culture and communication.The workshop alum 1st Elementary Education will make in the garden is called The color of the leaves. They will resolve questions such as why some trees change their leaves in autumn? How plants make their own food.  Students will chromatography to observe all pigments that appear in photosynthesis.

CIRCUS WORKSHOP

Laia Sales and Mari Marcos are the founding members of “Decopivolta Theatre Company” since 2011.

They are formed as an actress in Barcelona, at the “International School of Theatre Berty Tobías”. Both were involved in Lecoq method.

Laia is formed as a contemporary dancer specializing herself in Sport Dance during more than 10 years. As a juggler, she’s specialized in Contact ball and stilts dance. She is interested on combining her knowledge of circus skills with theatre. Mary is specializing herself as a clown.

They were formed with artists such as Sergi Claramunt (mimo and founder of the ONG’S Payasospital), Michael Doofy (artistic director of Cirque du Soleil), Cristian Athanassious (international famous clown), Stephane Boko (choreographer of Cirque du Soleil)….among others.

Their first show “Doble cita”, won the first award at the VI Internacional Clown Festival of Xirivella in 2011. They won a special mention in “XI Circuito Café Teatro de Valencia”. From 2021 they work on artistic voluntary of the ONG’S Payasospital.

Laia and Mary are habitual collaborators guest of Gençana. In this occasion, Laia and Mari Marcos will help us to reinforce the work of manipulation of the different elements such us balance ball and buugeng. It will give us advices to improve the skill and to discover new possibilities. We’ll have a practical workshop.

Students from the 1st course of Secondary Education will enjoy in this workshop as a complementary activity of the didactic unit “Circus Parade”.

VISITING SAN PIO V

The building of San Pio V, current home of the Museum of Fine Arts in Valencia and the Royal Academy of San Carlos, was founded by Archbishop John Thomas Rocabertí. Nowadays, is the most important paintings museum in Valencia and one of the first in Spain. His collection in Gothic Paintings from the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries has international recognition.

The most famous art pieces the museum owns are “Autoretrato” of Velázquez and “Virgen con el niño y donante” from the Italian Pinturicchio. In this museum, the students will see some of the most important gothic and romanic Spanish paintings like “Retablo de la Santa Cruz” or “Retablo de San Miguel Arcángel”.

The visit to the permanent exhibition will help students to realize the differences between gothic paintings and contemporany art, as well as, to understand the evolution developed in painting the last 500 years.

INTELIGENCIA EMOCIONAL

Nacemos, crecemos y envejecemos con la potencialidad de crecer, de expandir nuestras limitaciones y diversificar las opciones de relación con la vida. En este taller pretendemos que cada una de las personas participantes aumenten sus conocimientos sobre sí mismos, sobre su entorno y sobre las relaciones inter e intrapersonales.

Conseguir tener una forma distinta de inteligencia y dotar a los participantes de una experiencia y un conocimiento que enriquecerá su vida y le ayudará a tener un bienestar global es el principal objetivo de estas sesiones.

Susana Choren Rodríguez es Pedagoga, con Diploma de Estudios Avanzados (DEA) en el departamento de Didáctica de las Ciencias Experimentales y Sociales. Especialista Universitario en Prevención de las Drogodependencias por el Instituto de Investigación en Drogodependencias (INID). Universidad Miguel Hernández. Experta en Intervención en Drogodependencias, acreditada por la FAD y la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Su recorrido laboral se ha centrado desde el 2001 en la gestión, diseño, desarrollo y evaluación de programas y actividades preventivas centradas principalmente en la población juvenil y en las familias. Tiene una larga experiencia en la docencia presencial sobre educación para la salud dirigidas a jóvenes y a padres, y ha colaborado en sesiones de formación en estudios de postgrado; su experiencia como docente también se ha dirigido a la formación on-line, donde ha elaborado y coordinado la docencia de diferentes cursos. Dentro del equipo de Noupertres, además de las labores de la gestión preventiva, realiza intervención individual y grupal con adolescentes y jóvenes.

Mamen Buigues Torres es Psicóloga, con un Máster Oficial en Educación y Rehabilitación de Conductas Adictivas y un Máster en Psicología Clínica. Su historia laboral ha estado desde los últimos años de universidad ligada al tratamiento y estudio de las adicciones.

Ha ejercido de psicóloga especialista en adicciones en Proyecto Hombre, una asociación de ayuda al drogodependiente (ACOMAAD) y con la clínica privada. Tiene una larga experiencia en formación, ya que ha formado parte del equipo de profesionales que en el año 2010, 2011 y 2012 ha impartido los talleres del Programa Provincial de Actividades Preventivas, de la Diputación de Valencia.

Algunas de sus funciones en Noupertres son la atención psicológica directa a jóvenes y adultos, responsable del grupo de padres con hijos con patologías mentales y, docente en talleres de educación para la salud dirigidos a jóvenes y a familias.

LA VOZ ENTRE CUERDAS

Un arpa, un violín y una voz forman esta agrupación en la que nuestra mezzosoprano interpretará, acompañada por las cuerdas, diferentes obras de repertorio lírico.

Podremos escuchar algunas partes de diversas óperas así como piezas más modernas, en las que compartirán protagonismo las tres intérpretes.
