Cruz Roja Española is one of the main voluntary organizations in Spain founded in the year 1864.

Its main activities are linked to services and programs of social and health protection: provision of social health services, care for the elderly, refugees and immigrants … But it also intervenes in other fields such as the promotion and defense of Human Rights and the International Humanitarian Law, or the development of environmental volunteering actions. In addition, it works in the promotion and participation in health programs and in actions that are convenient for public health.

Specifically, in this activity, professionals from the health area of this Organization, will give an intensive course that will have as main objectives, learn to prevent accidents, apply procedures and proper techniques in self-protection and support for first aid , and, identify and resolve situations of vital urgency.

In this workshop, the most essential contents on First Aid will be approached in a simple way, facilitating the necessary skills to face in an effective and safe way the diverse emergency situations that can be found in everyday situations. The essential First Aid techniques will be practiced, from Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to how to properly move an injured or sick person.
