Christine Cloux has been dancing professionally for 30 years. Throughout her career she has worked with classical companies as Basel Ballet or Ballet Français de Nancy and contemporary companies as Compagnie Gallotta or Roc in Lichen. In Valencia she has danced with the Company Cienfuegos and the Ballet of the Generalitat while she was developing her own choreographic project.

She has won the Award for the Performing Arts of the Generalitat Valenciana as Best Dance Artist and Best Dance Performance, and the Audience Award and Best Dancer at the International Competition 9Masdanza (Canary Islands) . She has a Degree in Dance by the French State and has taught professionals and amateurs. She has taught at the Professional Conservatory of Valencia and she is a former teacher at the Conservatory Superior of Valencia.

In 2013, she participated in a research project about the Vaslav Nijinsky’s choreography “THE RITE OF SPRING “, at the Professional Conservatory of Valencia. Christine presented this Project at the French Institute of Valencia and she danced a little extract of the whole piece as well. This Project is published in “ARTSeduca magazine”.

Christine will help us to understand and enjoy this important musical and choreographic piece. She’ll speak about the original choreography and will reveal us curious anecdotes. On the other hand she’ll dance alive for our students a little extract of the whole piece: “The chosen” and we’ll dance all together.
